Care (Quantum) Reports
Our experienced healthcare Expert Witnesses provide independent Care Reports to support the assessment of damages in clinical negligence and personal injury claims. These reports evaluate an individual's current and future care requirements, including assistance with daily living, personal care, rehabilitation and ongoing support, helping solicitors accurately assess the care-related elements of a claim.
What is a Care (Quantum) Report?
Care reports, often referred to as Quantum reports, are prepared by independent expert witnesses and are used in personal injury and clinical negligence cases to assess a Claimant’s care needs. It provides a detailed evaluation of the support, assistance, and services required as a direct result of the injury or medical condition in question, both now and in the future. This report forms a key part of the quantum (value) assessment of a claim and is frequently used in court proceedings or settlement negotiations.
A clear, evidence-based Care Report ensures that the Claimant’s needs are accurately represented and costed, providing the court or negotiating parties with a reliable basis for assessing damages. It is often pivotal in ensuring appropriate compensation is secured for the care and support required over the Claimant’s lifetime.
What's Included in the Report?
Our Care reports are charged on an hourly basis and typically cover:

Fees You Can Rely On
We always provide a fee estimate, so there are no surprises. This estimation will be dependent on the volume of records, the number of allegations that need to be addressed, and the general complexity of the case. The hourly rate is set by the individual expert and reflects their specific area of expertise, the length of their clinical career, and their level of experience in preparing expert witness reports.
