Whether you’re already an Expert Witness looking to join an established panel, or a nurse or other healthcare professional who wants to get started, we’d love to hear from you!
If you've got at least 10 years experience and band 7+, we can give you the training and guidance you need to become an Expert Witness, and bring your skills to the courtroom.
What We Do
Our experts are experienced in preparing clear, impartial, and evidence-based reports that assist solicitors, insurers, and the courts in understanding the key issues within a case.
We provide a range of expert witness reports to support legal proceedings across personal injury, clinical negligence, and other matters. These include Medico-Legal Reports, Liability Reports, Condition and Prognosis Reports, Breach of Duty and Causation Reports, Quantum Reports and more.
All reports are produced in accordance with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and the expert’s overriding duty to the court. We ensure that each report is carefully tailored to the specific circumstances of the case, providing well-reasoned opinions supported by relevant medical evidence and documentation.
What You'll Do
As an Apex Expert Witness, you’ll use your clinical expertise to provide independent, evidence-based reports that assist the Court and instructing parties in understanding the care provided, or the impact of injury on an individual’s life.
You’ll work on a flexible, freelance basis, and can choose the cases that suit your availability and expertise. We’ll handle all the admin and billing, so you can focus on what really matters - using your clinical knowledge to make a difference.
Conducting home-based assessments
Reviewing medical records and legal instructions
Attending conferences and trials
Writing structured, court-ready reports
Participating in joint expert meetings
Liaising with solicitors and legal teams

Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for healthcare professionals with at least 10 years of experience, typically working at Band 7 or above.
If you’re new to expert witness work, don’t worry - we’ll support you every step of the way. And if you’re already experienced, we’re here to make your work easier, more rewarding, and better supported.
