Madeleine Holland is a Registered Children's Nurse with over 12 years’ experience in neonatal, paediatric and specialist nursing practice. Her expertise encompasses neonatal intensive care, neonatal transport, perinatal bereavement, paediatric palliative care, neonatal governance and mortality review processes.
 

She currently serves as Lead Neonatal Nurse for Bereavement at a tertiary neonatal centre, where she co-leads a multidisciplinary perinatal bereavement service supporting families affected by miscarriage, stillbirth, termination for fetal anomaly and neonatal death. Her role includes development of bereavement pathways, policy development, staff education, parental support, mortality review processes and participation in investigations following neonatal deaths.
 

Madeleine has extensive experience supporting families through highly complex clinical circumstances, including neonatal end-of-life care, parallel planning, ethical treatment decisions and post-death investigation processes. She works closely with maternity, neonatal, paediatric palliative care, pathology and governance teams to ensure high standards of clinical care, communication and bereavement support.
 

Her experience also includes senior neonatal intensive care practice, neonatal transport nursing and leadership roles involving governance, education, quality improvement and mortality review. She accepts instructions within her professional scope relating to neonatal nursing care, bereavement practice, palliative care, mortality review, neonatal governance and standards of nursing care.
