Her expertise encompasses care home management, clinical governance, quality assurance, safeguarding, medication management, complaints handling, workforce leadership, regulatory compliance and service improvement. She has extensive experience supporting providers through regulatory challenges, service recovery programmes, safeguarding concerns and quality improvement initiatives.
 

Nicola's professional background includes service as a Care Quality Commission Inspector, where she was responsible for inspecting residential and community care services using the regulator's inspection methodology. This experience provides detailed insight into expected regulatory standards, inspection frameworks and quality requirements within health and social care settings.
 

She has also held senior operational leadership positions overseeing multiple care homes and has substantial experience working with CQC, safeguarding teams, local authorities, Coroners and healthcare providers to investigate concerns, improve standards of care and ensure regulatory compliance.
